To raise the issue is not the same as to act upon it. To consider them to be equal is dishonest of them.

The way I understood the tweet immediately when I saw it was that he was pointing out how they are making a much bigger deal about it now that they are trying to use it to delegitimize Trump. Did you understand it differently?

The second sentence is pretty clear. He claimed something that was incorrect. This is his MO. He just spews anything with no regard to the truth.

I understood him to mean that they are only making such a big deal about it now not that they were totally silent until now. Before reading the opinion check article did you understand it differently? Maybe we just speak differently in NY.
