I honestly dont believe you can get an accurate poll of the countries views on Trump. We have already seen that those who support trump do not always respond truthfully or at all to these polls. There is certainly a strong group of people who do not support him that like to speak out against him and they would definitely be responding to these polls.
So yes, that will be the standard answer to polls regarding Trump until one is shown to be even remotely accurate.
I personally dont care about these polls anyway. Whether these polled individuals believe that Trump can handle international events plays no role on whether he can or not. I also dont understand how 40% can say they dont think there will be a major scandal in Trumps administration. Of course there will, show me the last president that didnt have one. If nothing major comes out then we will make a big deal out of something minor.

I predict that the Trump administration will be plagued with scandals. But on the other hand Trump has the potential to be one of the best presidents if he succeeds in shaking things up the right way.

How would you be able to show a poll as being accurate before 2020?

The national polls were not far off at all. The final RCP average had Clinton ahead by 3.3% with the final at 2.1%. THat is within the margin of error.

Also, there is less reason to mislead pollsters about these questions than about voting.
