I would, except that I'm voting for senator and other important issues that have people with values I support.
Once I'm there I'll write in the name of a man that I can stand behind.

There are a lot of brilliant conservative minds who are taking the protest vote route this year. I'm happy to be in their company.

I plan to write in McMullen and will vote downballot for the other races.

Since המעשה הוא העיקר, just as long as you are aware that a write-in is the practical equivalent of a vote for HRC.

My values are just too far away from Clinton's or Trump's to hold my nose  and vote.

I think the Alter Rebbe's values were at least as far from the Czar as yours are from those two, yet he proactively supported the Czar, as he saw it as the correct long term choice at the time (and similarly other Tzadikim of the generation supported napoleon, even though their values were as far as it gets from his, because they perceived it as the right thing). Are you holier?

Clinton means more of the subpar status quo and likely impeachment trials. She's a narcissist, a compulsive liar, and possibly a criminal. I can't support that.

Quite frankly I don't have a clue what Trump means. Maybe a new leaf, maybe the end of the republic as we know it.

The future is here! No matter who gets elected, it is the end of the Republic as we know it.

I strongly disagree with his trade stances. I do know that he and many of his supporters scare me. The rise of dormant antisemitism online is very troubling. I don't think he's a stable individual. I don't trust him not to try to rule like a Duterte/Chavez/Putin type. Even without their power he can still insult and hold grudges against other leaders to our detriment. I don't credibly believe that he'll be a strong Israel backer or that he'll nominate the justices he says he will. I hate the coarse language and bullying that he relies upon. He's the biggest narcissist I've ever seen, is a compulsive liar, and has a very poor grasp on the issue, yet he thinks he knows them better than anyone. As much as I've tried, I just can't support that.

I wish I was smart enough to have a clear vision as to which option was clearly worse, but I don't.

That is why sometimes a Yid needs to put aside his own שכל and ask his trusted leader or guide what to do and act accordingly.

Large low income families will suffer greatly under trump.

And honestly, I would much prefer to rely on HRC to be reasonable towards Israel. She is part of the American political machine, which is well lobbied by Israel and Jews for decades.
Trump is a psychopath who has no allegiance to anyone or anything but his ego. To think he will treat Israel well under pressure is delusional imho.

3. As I said, the future is here, now! None of the candidates can turn back the clock and bring back the "Republic as we know it". Your children will not know the world or the Republic you knew.

I'm not saying I like Trump, or I agree with everything he says, but you have to think of SCOTUS appointments. The next president could appoint 2, maybe even 3 of them!
