Topic Wiki

Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

Ok, they won't select someone for one of the most demanding jobs in the world who is shomer shabbos.
Wouldn't b the first if I'm not mistaken. Also it's a terrible idea to hire family for that kind of job. It's asking for some serious family trouble

Here's a prediction: In two months from now, we'll all be shocked at how normal a person Trump is. In six months from now, we'll almost have forgotten the crazy campaign season of 2016.

I would like to make another unpleasant prediction. In a couple of months people might be reminded that Trump is not really a conservative. Let's just hope that Congress does the right thing over the next two years, and that Trump's cabinet and other appointments turn out for the good of this country.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Jared may be one of the WH counsel to advise the Chief of Staff. This would allow him his family and Shabbat time.

Agree with this one. I'm an avid Trump supporter - but Trumps softening, unity message and kissing up to pres Obama  has made me think "this is not a conservative outsider". Since he won he sounds more like an independent Washington insider.

Please convince me that I'm wrong.

He's just trying his best to start off with a clean slate. Definitely not a hardliner, but I don't think he'll be anywhere close to liberal with his disdain of the media, and his very conservative advisors. If he's taking his advice from Rudy Giuliani, who got elected in and really cleaned up liberal NYC after Dinkins, I'm not too afraid.

Yes. I'm willing to forgo on his baggage/personality if he will fix things in this country. I believe he can be successful - since he's been successful most of his life in business and in most things that he pursued including the presidency.

So if he starts to take council from Obama - then this whole thing shatters down. He didn't win because of this type of behavior. He won as a "clean the swamp" candidate.

But I still have faith in him and believe that he'll do a good job. I hope that the reason he's acting like that now is because hes new to this whole presidency concept/workflow and wants to learn the process. Once hell be comfortable with this - hell be a little more himself.

What's the big deal if he works with others?
That's what he was elected to do.

You only want a Washington outsider before an election, so they don't owe favors to those that help them get elected (and continue the same old agenda). Trump was as much an outsider as anyone, now that he won he can do his job without rubbing anyone's backs.

His imigration, economic, anti terror etc. policies are very conservative.

For all those that are complaining about voter turnout, voter suppression, electoral college vs popular vote etc. It would be very interesting to see how elections would pan out if all states would award Electors similar to ME.

I have a hunch that a lot more people would vote in states like NY, CA and MD, and that some of the Electors would go the other way.

Romney would have been president.

Economic? How so?

Either way, what exactly do you expect him to do? Go over to Obama and punch him in the nose?
