Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

First of all I PMd him ready to confirm my bet and secondly yes I did bet with others and made some decent money that night.
I was taking all and any bets and only had a nibble. No one wanted to put up.  :)

To do this, the US must first avoid alienating all Muslims, and second face the obvious – that the terrorism being fought is Islamic. Without understanding the enemy, it cannot be defeated. But the only hope of some type of victory is that all Muslims do not belong to this movement. Denying that Islamic terrorism exists will cost the war. Arguing that all Muslims are Islamic terrorists means accepting the war can’t be won at all.
Wow, you must have been a great student in computer science (and reading comprehension) to be able to cut and paste the crux of the article   ;D

In any event, it seems that DJT is a realistic pragmatist. I think he's more than able to fully grasp the above paragraph. The challenge is obviously what to do?

As George Friedman points out, there are no easy or conventional options here. I don't think for a second that DJT thinks that all Muslims are Islamic terrorists, so as far as he's (and I think most people are) concerned, this is not a lost war.

I think that, just like DJT doesn't think for a second that a brick and mortar wall will be built across the border with Mexico, but is rather means it figuratively speaking, as in setting up a barrier (which might be physical in any one of several different forms, or not even physical) that will prevent or dissuade Mexicans from crossing the border illegally, same would be for the war on Islamic terror. While using the conventional term "war", it requires a totally different type of fighting and strategic thinking. It cannot be won with conventional weapons. As long as one doesn't acknowledge that, this could be an endless, totally futile war. But once that is acknowledged, there is hope to make real inroads towards actually winning the war.

This allegation has been made for months, and everyone seemed to believe it was true. Even Trump never denied it.

So what do you mean by "endless?"

Correct. Voters already knew about it and didn't care.

The left's attempt to equate this with the Clinton Foundation failed. Why?

1. He didn't put our national security at risk.
2. It wasn't indicative of a culture of corruption.

And now we see they actually admit to it in their filing. Let's see the Clintons check one of those boxes!

President-elect Donald Trump should shut down his personal Twitter account, American voters say 59 - 35 percent, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

While they have mixed views on his personal qualities, American voters say 59 - 37 percent that they are "optimistic about the next four years with Donald Trump as president," the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds.

Trump will be a "great" president, 17 percent of voters say; 32 percent say he will be a "good" president; 17 percent say he will be "not so good" and 26 percent say he will be "bad."

Trump's policies will help the nation's economy, 52 percent of voters say; 31 percent say his policies will hurt the economy and 11 percent say they will make no difference.

His policies will help their personal financial situation, 40 percent of voters say, while 23 percent say they will hurt and 34 percent say his policies will make no difference.

Looking at Trump's personal qualities, American voters say:
52 - 42 percent that he is not honest;
56 - 38 percent that he has good leadership skills;
51 - 45 percent that he cares about average Americans;
57 - 38 percent that he is not level-headed;
74 - 23 percent that he is a strong person;
74 - 21 percent that he is intelligent.

Why didn't they admit in all those years?

Self-dealing isn't corruption? Gimme a break.

No it is not corruption. It is abuse of tax laws and remedied by filing the proper forms and paying any penalties and/or fines. Corruption is sellling influence.
 Do you have numbers on how many private foundations check off those boxes?

Self-dealing isn't necessarily corruption, it could be carelessness.

Don't rush to conclusions unless you know the details. I didn't look at any of the foundations filings, but they should all be public record (accessible through multiple sites that list charity filings). If a foundations spend several million in a year, and mistakenly wrote a $20,000 that is determined to be self-dealing, it could be less than 1% of the foundation's expenditures, and could be a mistake. It is still illegal, but it might not be egregious.

I highly doubt DJT would deliberately write a $20,000 check out of the foundation which he knew in advance would be considered self-dealing, as that could jeopardize the foundations entire tax status.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
