Look at the whole context and what he was comparing it to. His views are clear on this subject. Also everyone is not an English major.

I watched it, and now think, linguistically, it can go either way. But consider, do you really think Gen. Flynn is saying 1.7 billion Muslims are Islamists? And if he really did have that fringe opinion, would he state it publicly? In fact, just a few minutes earlier, he essentially says Muslims are the most important aspect in fighting terrorism. That wouldn't make sense according to CNN's interpretation.

Can we all at least agree that CNN dug up some obscure comment he once said in Shul and interpreted it in a way most favorable for them to write a smear?
