Lets say you are correct about his motivations. I DON"T CARE!!! This issue is a foreign government trying to influence our election. If all the agencies agree on what happened I will go with them every day of the week and twice on Sunday over Trump. Trump is still seeing Muslims celebrating in the street and on roof tops over 911.

Corruption is usually kept hidden by the perpetrators, thats how they avoid punishment. Exposing it typically involves crossing lines, and typically we accept that (e.g. immunity deals for whistleblowers or witnesses), so I'm more disturbed by what the hacking uncovered that by the hacking itself as should everyone. Talk about spin doctors!

Russia will act in the best interests of Russia, just like the US acts in the best interests of the US, and as others have already mentioned, we can't claim any moral high ground when it comes to using influence in other countries' elections.

Let's call a spade a spade. The only ones who are 'alarmed' by these reports of hacking are the ones who wish the election had gone to Hillary and are looking to sow discord and/or divert attention from the damning evidence of corruption that was uncovered by these hacks.

Her analysis ir ridiculous. He never said that the briefing told him that it had no effect on the how people voted. He did say it had no effect on the outcome but did not attribute that to the briefing He did not claim at all that everything he said is information he received at the briefing. In addition, the end of the sentence where he specifies that there was no hacking of election machines is contained in the released document.

He also did claim that there were no R related targets who were hacked. He did say that the RNC itself was not hacked in comparison to the DNC which was.

Maddow has her own honesty issues.

No. I actually got that opinion from skimming through it. Some of it seemed simply infantile.

The report DID say that they did not hack election machines. This means that while they may have influenced how peole voted they did not change the results from what the voters chose. That can also be called not influencing the result of the election and makes sense as part of a politicians statement. This is no worse than many Obama statements.
