Just to be clear, he's not twisting Trump's words. The way his statement was constructed it reads most coherently in the way CM is interpreting it. And yet, I completely agree with you about what Trump was trying to say. But that's the problem - while he may 'have the best words', he struggles to string them together properly.

Lol. That's not what I said. What I said is he can't construct sentences to convey his thoughts properly. Based on what he actually said, the most proximate potential subject of his unqualified fire and fury comment was the preceding comment about NK threats. Of course in context of the world we live in (as opposed to strictly the words he used and the order he used them in) I know what he (probably) means.

Keep in mind that many here only saw or heard after the fact reports. Considering the distrust of the media, when a story is only heard through their lenses and reporting and not seen in real time the story will not hav ethe same effect.

Why are people so upset that he condemned terrorists on both sides together ? A terrorist is a terrorist. Is attacking somebody with a bat or brick less of a crime than attacking with a car ?

He has been championed on this thread for calling out Islamic terrorism by name. He himself said not referring to Islamic terrorism by name disqualified Hilary. He calls EVERYONE out by name. From Rosie to Mitch, Hilary to Obama. He is never vague or even remotely nuanced.

Except when it comes to white nationalist, white supremacists, Nazis - whatever you want to call them.

He was vague about condemning them during the campaign, and he was vague now too.

Want to call out Antifa as well? Good! They should be condemned for the fascist thugs they are. But when someone dresses like a Nazi, chants like a Nazi, and kills like a Nazi, call it a Nazi! If you can't, especially when you called everyone else you took issue with, you can't feign surprise that people are upset and infer racist or ugly political motives.

The same "outrage" would've been against Bush or any R in office. Don't kid yourself. The media is so giddy that somebody on the right finally did this. Much of middle America doesn't really care that someone punched back against antifa.
