Fun Fact: Did you know that in every Palestinian negotiation they have never once even hinted at Jerusalem not being Israel's capital as part of a peace deal? They don't care about it. They never have, and never will. This is all grandstanding and chest thumping.

Look at Dianne Feinstein's letter to Trump. Among the many lies is the doozy that Ariel Sharon caused the second Intifada. See the recent riots regarding metal detectors at Al Aqsa. Even if violence erupts (though I doubt it will) it is not because of Trump, it is because a large population of people are being manipulated, scapegoated and purposefully persecuted by thier corrupt, murderous leaders who are hellbent on destroying Israel and gaining wealth and political power in the process.

The US has an interest in doing the right thing simply because it is right. The same way Stephen Harper was a staunch Israel supporter simply because it was the right thing to do (he said this himself to the Knesset). Denying reality to pander to a bunch of Palestinian bluffers is not the right thing to do. Anyway since when did not moving the embassy help anything?? The peace process is dead and has always been a charade.

Maybe now, if the Israeli position is stronger this way, that will actually force the arabs to submit to something. Like maybe recognizing Israel just to start...

Because it shows to everyone that we are a nation of force, we do what we think the right thing is. You can also add that it gives Trump an upper hand towards a two state solution (which is the only realistic peace option), it will be a sour pill for the Israelis to swallow, and they were not interested in listening to someone like Obama giving them this advice since they knew Obama is not their friend. Trump with this move has shown that Israel is in his best interest and there is a much bigger chance Israel will listen to him when it comes to negotiate peace.

The peace process has been halted for ages, and even in the days that it was in full force, Jerusalem was never a question.

Why ever try make peace? Why ever get involved? A stable Middle East is in the USA's interests, as is having Israel as a strong ally. The best way to accomplish the former is by ensuring the latter.

Gosh, I watch CNN, and Wolf Blitzer stops everything, "we have breaking news now in the Russian meddling investigation" I am holding my breath tight, waiting to hear about Trump being charged by the special council, and all I hear is again, the old dried out garbage, that was Flynn texting the Russians during the inauguration, wow, the fix is in!  We all know by know he made contacts with the Russians while Trump was president elect its old already. I really don't care if it was via meetings or texting. As said, its normal for an incoming admin to make such contacts AFTER their candidate has been elected. We are waiting to see if these stuff took place before the election was over and if there was any collusion, when that comes true talk about breaking news. Don't try to make a small stupid detail as breaking development in the Russian investigation, That is FAKE NEWS.
