Now think out of your little box about the people who are self-employed or do not have an employer paying for 75% of their insurance bill. Under Obamacare they have seen their coverage get worse and their premiums rise 15-25% per year. They may buy Obamacare plans because that is what they have available. That is what I had to do even though it was not through the exchange. That does not mean that they don't absolutely HATE Obamacare. Obamacare gave coverage to people who weren't interested in having it even for free until they were penalized at the expense of my coverage getting much worse and my premiums skyrocketing. Why would anyone in such a situation like Obamacare?

Keep in mind that the repeal of the individual mandate means that premiums will go up even more than they've gone up so far, especially if there are not significant other changes to obamacare but even if there are.

Of course, if coverage is significantly decreased, that would cause premiums to go down.
Btw, his proposals would likely lead to more plans charging a premium per child as opposed to a "family" rate. That would increase premiums significantly for large families.

My coverage was decreased and my premiums went up.

But I'm guessing had your coverage stayed the same your premium would have gone up more. The question is if your expected total health care costs went up. His ideas do very little to decrease that, and repealing the individual mandate would increase that next year (forgot what the estimates are, but probably 20%)
