This argument is inherently flawed, it doesn't take into account that the markets always go up and down. When the market crashes, it will go back up in spite of bad policy, but nearly as fast as when there is good policy. It's not for no reason that this was a very slow recovery, until Trump won the election, when it took off and the economy started to really grow.

You are leaving out one important fact. He claims to be the great deal maker. Whether him getting credit or not depends on what he does. How can you possibly give someone credit when they are not involved? This is being honest?
