Horrible idea. The issue is real but the way they want to resolve it is dumb and probably won't work. A big part of the cause is the way states are subsidizing renewables which are not yet ready to shoulder the burden placed upon them.

Again in a vacuum I would agree but that is not how you judge someone.

The issue of confirmation bias is real. A great example is Romney's binders of women comment. To call that misogynist is simply silly. Anyone with half a brain can see that. Yet there are so many people who in the middle of a campaign narrative of a "war against women" (notice the pattern) there were many who truly believed it to be bigoted.

If you feel he is not an anti-Semite that is fine.

When you try and twist this interview that is not OK. He knew who Duke was, he knew who the KKK was, he knew Duke just endorsed him and he refused to disavow Duke or the KKK in that interview. Feel free to come to your own conclusion why but you are not allowed to use alternative facts.

of course. That is why the most objective way to judge is by each comment on its own. Once someone makes even one comment which on its own merit exposes them as a racist that will do it. Roseanne has done that (ambien or not). I have not yet seen Trump do that. The only way you can get there with Trump is by some sort of vague big picture view which is very subjective and susceptible to confirmation bias. Quite the opposite of goalposts.

But that isn't true (bolded part). Devils advocate: It was a joke. What part of that don't you understand? That is what we do as comedians. I love black people. Some of my best friends are black people.

So the comment by itself can be defended. Now go back and see she made similar comments in the past and it takes on a whole different look.

You are missing the point. Lets assume your view of him is correct. That doesn't mean he can't be a racist also. KISS 
This case was all about race and he wanted the death penalty to come back because of it. That is pure racism!!!

I cant follow the logic. I see him as a narcissist that cant admit fault or take responsibility for a mistake, and I think we can agree on this. I also agree that this doesnt preclude him from also being a racist, but it also doesnt prove that he is one.

The guy has a ton of faults and racism IMHO is one of them. I gave several examples and everyone wants to look at each example in isolation. That is not how you judge if someone is a racist.

Remember this is the guy who claimed at the beginning he never heard of Duke and wouldn't condemn him.
The same guy who said there are good Nazi's.
I put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4 not 0.

That's your view any many would disagree with you. That is the problem with taking each comment in a vacuum. It is plausible to defend them individually but not when you put them all together.

It only works that way when there is a single common denominator, racism. Here though you see a different one that seems to the case scenario when racism isn't involved. I therefore go either the other one
