The only way he gets in there now is by impeachment or a resignation. Each of those has many side effects which make them not worthwhile.

He is absolutely correct that the undermining of the press is extremely dangerous. While Trump most definitely does carry a large part of the blame, he unfortunately ignores the portion of the blame borne by the media themselves. In choosing to be openly partisan they have opened themselves up to exactly these accusations.
