Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

Do you need a list of all the ways her story changed in the times she told it?
Don't post it or else you'll be called a sexist woman hater. Unfortunately this is one of the most symptoms of TDS.

Chaim used to be so much fun to have a conversation with. Unfortunately it seems that he really suffers from TDS and that it killing him. I feel really bad for him. Especially after research shows that it's not easy to get out from TDS.
You repeat word for word what Hannity says and you feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for any females in your family.

Where you shocked/surprised/taken aback that it happened?
Yes. Even for him to mock a sexual abused victim is going to far.

Educate yourself on how memory works (yes, also for tramatic events) and you won't be so ignorant.
Please explain. I'm not taking sides here, but memory most certainly can be affected by traumatic events, and we have decades of research backing that notion. I'm happy to elaborate a bit, but I'm curious what you mean by this.

For the ignorant here. I can post hundreds like this but won't do any good for Hannity Kool-Aid drinkers.

Survivors often have fragmented memories of their assault. According to Bell, this phenomenon is not only common, but a sensible choice our brains make. "When a person is faced with a dangerous or threatening situation, their attention becomes narrowly focused on the danger at hand," she says.
So when survivors can't remember every aspect of the trauma later, that isn't the result of negligence or absent-mindedness—instead, certain aspects of the trauma simply weren't encoded into the survivor's memory because they were experiencing real and present danger. "This can help explain why a survivor may recall vividly certain details of the trauma while being unable to recall other details of the event," Bell says.

Hi Chaim,

This is Leah, ilhermans wife.

I want to educate you on how ilherman is respecting woman and has been treating woman with the most respect possible. But he believes that man should be treated fair as well, he does not admire woman who destroy other men's life and since you're an American and respect due process, in normal circumstances he would expect you to think the same however he do your TDS it makes sense not to think straight. So he has no personal feelings against you.

Again, whoever knows ilherman will attest that his interactions with women are respectful as it gets. More than what you'd expect from a random guy on the street. And I'm proud of him!
You can say what you think when you think what you say.

Right. There are two aspects to it. There's the fact that a person may repress or otherwise unconsciously alter a traumatic memory following the event. There is also the fact that at the time the event is taking place, some aspects of the memory may not be encoded in the first place. There can be several reasons for this and many factors come into play, but one common reason is that one needs to attend to something in order for it to be encoded in memory. The part of the brain responsible for attention is the prefrontal cortex (also responsible for other executive functions), but when faced with fear or stress, other areas of the brain (the amygdala) take over, so to speak, to control one's attention to focus on the feared stimulus. This can drastically alter one's ability to remember many aspects of a traumatic event, and is very common.

That said, I still have no idea if she's lying...

All I mean is that just because she remembers that something happened in a certain way does not mean that is what happened.

I point to the gaps in Ford's memory and conflicting stories to show that memory is not at all precise, (no matter how sure she is), especially after so many years.

Only the most extreme trumpers are saying that she made up the story in order to destroy Kavenaugh.

No one does. My point is to attack her because she doesn't remember things is ignorance.
The same ignorance that says she lied about fear of flying because she does fly. DW has a fear of flying but flies all over the country.

She (or more likely her lawyers) lied in saying that her fear of flying does not allow her to attend the hearing when it was first scheduled.

The issue I have with her (well, not with her per se, but with this situation) has nothing to do with her memory. The way I see it, she may be telling the truth, she may not be telling the truth, but if we are unable to corroborate her story and prove Judge Kavanaugh's guilt, then he remains innocent until proven guilty.

Never once have I ever said in this discussion that K is guilty until proven innocent. Of course he is innocent until proven guilty. The issue is this isn't a criminal prosecution. This is a job interview for a lifetime position.

What do you think the threshold for denying the nomination should be?

Claiming she doesn't remember anything is a flat out lie!!!

So what to do, then, when an FBI investigation (albeit a short one) comes up with nothing to support Dr. Ford's story days before he is to be confirmed for said lifetime position? Keep searching? Where do you draw the line?
