Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

I'm not so sure. Mid term swing would be a check to a crazy president, failed policies and national protest.

But the economy is strong, unemployment is down regardless of wage gaps. Trump has just been the usual lunatic and the world has been pretty stable.

I'm simply not seeing a rolling protest movement.

I do not like Trump, everything out there I've said from day 1 for example that he lied about his fortune etc I said from day 1 he inherited it all.

But generally speaking, if you are a capitalist leaning on libertarian hands off government is the key to economic growth and stability.

I have no idea if Trump's individual policies work, just overall the economy rolls on it's on.

I also feel like California has an unstable economy and middle America is booming. Will this mean stronger middle American Republicans or with a coastal migration will middle America go liberal ?

I agree with some of what you say but i don't think it takes a rolling protest movement to flip the house.

And what makes you think Republicans will stay home if they are happy with the direction of the country ?

What about the Democrats that voted Trump in 2016? They might go Republicans again.

Also so many other factors at hand, In Florida the Democratic senator candidate is anti step up which sends money to private schools for low income kids. It's a huge huge huge thing in the Jewish community and likely in other communities as well so this could swing the state to Republicans.

possibly, I just don't think the Republicans will be as motivated as the Democrats.
As far as the Florida election, it seems that the overwhelming number of voters are focusing on federal issues and not the local ones.

I guess we will see what happens

A couple of points here

1. Trump is a polarizing and has probably done just about everything that could enrage the left, he said a lot of stupid things that whipped up the opposition.
2. There was a large enthusiasm gap pre Kavanaugh, and while the Republicans have had and enthusiasm bump the Dems are still seething.
3. And every election throughout the past year the Dems were much closer than they should have been due to their enthusiasm and Republicans lack of enthusiasm.
4. Many Republicans while agreeing with Trump on many policies have been lackluster do too many things that he's done/said ect.

-1

The president's party losing seats in the mid-terms is a constant regardless of how popular the president is. (With the exception of 2002).

Now Republicans might have done chance of keeping the house, something that was almost impossible to imagine before this whole thing.

The real swing towards Republicans will be in the Senate where it was likely that they would gain seats all along and now may gain more.

This is where the whole Kavanaugh debacle probably made the biggest difference, it united the republican party.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Correct.

The question is if its enough to keep back to Blue Wave
Those that are p*ssed the most will show up at the polls.
And that now includes R's

Wow.

I'm blank. Can't think of anything unless there was a major fight with Trump (which it doesn't sound like )
