I'm Republican and vote Republican, but here in New York I feel that the local Republican Party is actually the party of hate and corruption. Does anyone else from New York feel the same like me?

Quite surprised to see this in the NYT. There have been about 10 incidents in Crown Heights alone *since Friday*!

Of course they make sure to mention white supremacists, far-right & even Trump, yet fail to mention the majority of the suspects, aa’s, who have nothing to do with those groups. Typical NYT

If anti-Semitism bypasses consideration as a serious problem in New York, it is to some extent because it refuses to conform to an easy narrative with a single ideological enemy. A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll conducted over the past fractious, violent week shows a majority of voters think that President Donald Trump has done more to divide the country than unite it since he took office last year — but that the national news media are even worse.

Just 3 in 10 voters, 30 percent, said Trump has done more to unite the country, compared with 56 percent who said he’s done more to divide it. Even more voters, 64 percent, said the media have done more to divide the country, while only 17 percent say they have done more to unite it.

Majorities of Democrats (88 percent) and independents (54 percent) said Trump has done more to divide the U.S., while 55 percent of Republicans said Trump has done more to unite the country instead.

But few voters in either party — 28 percent of Democrats, 9 percent of Republicans and 14 percent of independents — said the national news media have done more to unite the country.

D's win early voting but lose
R's win early voting but lose

I would think the opposite, imagine when the D's win in early voting they lose at the end! so imagine when they cant even lead in early voting how bad they will lose!

There is simple point being made. Early voting is meaningless on the outcome. I understand you only want look at it the way a Hannity Kool-Aid drinker would but that doesn't change a simple fact.

Racism has been going on since the beginning of time. We now have a president that is pouring gas on the fire.

We're discussing a specific part of the racism problem at a specific time in history. And no, Trump has literally nothing to do with it and has not poured any gas onto it. And the media is twisting itself into pretzels to blame him for it.

My thoughts on Trump and his incitement have been made clear in other threads, so while I might agree with your statement in other areas, here it is not applicable, and blaming him only stops us from identifying and tackling the real problem.
