Lol, this is pathetic. Seriously. Even if you accept that he initiated contact (which I don't think the video backs up), it would never rise to the level implied in any of the ridiculous rhetoric. Again, I don't really think Acosta is in the right here either, but cool it with the 'assault' claims. And BTW, this is no different than half the petty nonsense the left gets all riled up about with Trump (though there's plenty that's not nonsense to work with often as well). So if you're gonna brush it off and say it's nonsense then, you should do the same here.

ETA: Also, just noticing your specific wording of chopped down her arm. Her arm moves downward when she puts her hand on the mic because she's tries to pull it away from him and he resists.

Don't know about assault or not, but watching the video, the movements seem as though he's applying enough pressure to not just move her arm down but to turn her whole body.

Not necessarily. I saw some videos where part of it was sped up and it made it actually seem like he was hitting her with his arm. In the original footage it was clear that he was reflexively moving his arm, but didn't hit her at all
