Thread summary:

Trump walks in a room.

1. Moshe123 shoots at him because he is pure evil, 2. ilherman+hachover jump in front of the bullets because Trump is our savior. 3. aygart tackles Moshe123 because Trump is better than HRC, 4. but Baruch can't stand Trump so he tells aygart he's crazy and Trump is a madman. 5. ExGingi would like to point out that who cares what he is, all that matters is the supreme court nominations. 6. Dan and others aren't really sure how this makes them feel plus they don't really want to drink poison. 7. Spoiler alert: Moshe123's gun was empty, it was just a blank.

And Freddie is in the back of the room just cooking his cholent. Until he announces that there are TWO menu choices, Pareve Cholent or Vegetable Lasagna. While etech0 figured out that they are both poisoned.

Repeat x100.

And then Hilary walks into the room with the most confidence a candidate has had in recent history. She is so confident that she eats both the Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna. Everyone is the room is aghast, they don't know how this happened, could it be Comey is behind this poisoning or was it that her Obamacare premiums were to high to get her the help she needed.

Everyone stared as she choked and was cast into oblivion on November, 8, 2016 the last day she was heard from in the public eye.

Moshe123, ilherman, hachover, Baruch, ExGingi, Dan, Freddie, etech0, and the rest of America are in total shock and hope that so long as Trump doesn't eat any Pareve Cholent and Vegetable Lasagna and stays true to his supreme court nominees this may be the greatest thing to happen since the CSR and GC's.

But remember this may be the beginning of the end...

P.S. Thanks to cognitive dissonance aygart, Michael Moore, and Scott Adams knew the whole time that Trump could win, unfortunately for JTZ he may be off DDF for the next 4 years due to his mandatory 3 times daily consumption of CROW!

As things turns out, the most prescient view on this election was that of Michael Moore! Though Scott Adams is also claiming a high view level of prescience.

And of course.....
If you want to dispute something I would not use Breitbart as your source. That is like using Hannity.  :)

Still a run-off in Mississippi...
but that is different from what I understand there were 3  candidates and one of them (a R)was taking votes away from the other R and still the R was ahead. So now that it’s just the R and D I expect the R to get those lost votes

Now we are getting on the same page.
After a few months of diligently following both CNN and Fox, I've concluded that they are two of the worst, most biased news sources in the nation (no big shock there).

So what is a good news source?

I've tried RCP but all it is is a compilation (albeit balanced) of the garbage, biased news from both sides (with a spackle of their own right-leaning commentary).

So, any recommendations?

Msnbc is worse than CNN. I watch the talking heads on each side to see what the nutcases are being feed. The newscasters themselves are biased but not that bad. You just have to do a balancing act.

CNN has created a new category of news. Instead of just reporting and opinion, they now have a category called "analysis." Essentially, it's meant to be something in between, like reporting but with the personal analysis of the reporter. This category has made their "reporting" far more biased.

The worst part is that they have the chutzpah to send me breaking news notifications which consist solely of "analysis."

"Breaking: Trump's blunders abroad to cause devastating backlash at home."

A Ninety-Year-Old Contemporary Lesson from Rav Yeruchem Levovitz

I was so thankful to a friend for showing me a quote from a letter written by the illustrious Mirrer mashgiach, Rav Yeruchem Levovitz, after frum candidates were roundly defeated in an election for the Polish parliament. The letter was written some ninety years ago, but it offers lessons that are as applicable today as they were back then, and it may offer some real food for thought for those following politics both here and in Eretz Yisroel.

He writes: “Even though it is not my way to involve myself in these [political] matters…since I see the wider community is so disheartened as a result of the loss that the party sustained in the latest elections, I would like to point out that they should not be saddened nor fool themselves into thinking that their pain is due to a lack of kevod Shomayim. The difference between one political party and another is only in the degrees of good and bad. If not for the fact that there is a battle between good and evil in this world, there would be no such thing as political parties…

“Therefore, the first thing that a person must do is conduct a self-analysis and see how much evil exists within himself. Is he as pained by the evil that resides within him as much as he is pained by the evil that resides within the other political party? Is he as worked up and as angry at the ra, the evil, that he himself possesses?

“Someone told me that he was so distraught over the loss [of the political party] that he couldn’t sleep the night after the election loss… It would be appropriate to ask that same person if on Yom Kippur night, his feelings of being distraught let him sleep. If on Yom Kippur he is indeed able to sleep, it is incumbent on him to ask himself: Why? Why is it that on the night after an election loss I can’t sleep, whereas on Yom Kippur night I sleep peacefully? Why is it that with regard to the ra, the bad and evil that resides within you, you do not get emotionally worked up, but the bad and evil that exist within the other party do succeed in upsetting your equilibrium?

“We are left with the obvious conclusion that the fact that you are distraught is not because you hate evil and you worry about Hashem’s kavod. Rather, it is the kavod of people of flesh and blood that causes you to take things to heart…”

When a friend showed me this letter from Rav Yeruchem quoted in a Torah publication from Eretz Yisroel titled “Az Nidberu,” it was an eye opener.

Here we go with the emails again. This time the shoe is on the other foot. Wonder if Trump will say "lock her up"?  :)
