I have no idea if she would go to lynching. When you are in the deep south and make that statement it has one meaning. She apologized for the statement but that doesn't change who she is.

I do not think that’s true. I think many people use it in other settings as well. That’s how Northerners interpret it, not how Southerners necessarily intend it.

You are missing the point. You don't use "lynching" as an example. To try to say she purposely used that to show things she would not do is pure ignorance.

What about saying about someone that they are the type of friend you call when you need to move a dead body? If someone says that are they a wanna-be murderer?
