One thing that's clear from that article (at least to me), even if the WSJ decided to be diplomatic about it: sponsorships are the largest source of revenue, and it's the women's side driving all of the growth there.

You say you are not discriminating but you are. Skill level is only one thing. A competitive game is more important. A prime example is the NCAA. They are not making so much money because of the skill level.

Sorry if it sounded I did, but I never discriminate against anyone, whether it is race, gender, and religion, but this is sports, and I was just trying to say something like ---would you prefer to watch a MU vs Real Madrid as an e.g or women's world cup? To me it is definitely the first, of course each of us have different preferences.

I would prefer watching the USWNT in the world cup finals. I wish you would have watched it. It was actually a good game. The USMNT was also playing that night at home for a championship. Women's game was way better.

Here is the thing with discrimination. Sometimes we do it without even knowing with no ill intent. It is more of a mindset. An example is when they schedule two other championship games the same day as the womens world cup final. When asked they said it was an oversight for not checking the schedule. The oversight was the way they treat women which many feel is discrimination.

What he should do is offer a formal invitation to the "inspiring" us womans soccer team, who "helped shape the future" of whatever etc.

They surveyed 1000 people? Are they a mainstream poll? How could you get any real idea from 1000 people? I could get that many just from going to shul in one day. Is that the number (average) they always use?

If the polling is across a random sample, a few hundred to a few thousand is all that's needed. Your shul would not be a random sample.

Contrary to what most people think, polling is fairly accurate - even in thr 2016 election. Trump won a few close states but by a small enough margin that it was in most polls' margin of error.
