i think #2 is a racist comment, considering that 3 of them were born in the USA. Even Omar who was not born here is a citizen and should be afforded the right of free speech without being told to go back to where she came from.
As for #1, i would agree with you that they have been troublemakers. I think they are acting out of selfishness. Actually, they are similar to Trump in many ways, this is one of them.

she was trying to say that we are all from somewhere else originally and that is what Trump meant in his tweet about the squad. It's a terrible defense of his racist tweet but it's not a racist or offensive explanation itself.

Look - someone who themselves, or their family, came to America from another country, presumably came here for a reason. It is certainly our leaders who should, if they feel America has room to improve, push for improvement.

But when the feeling an outside observer gets is that in fact, this is a terrible country, and we should be embarrassed of it...at that point, it begs the question - why don't you go back to the country either you or your parents came from, if you're so embarrassed of America?

I see that as having nothing to do with the particular ethnicity of the people involved, and everything to do with their opinions. Now, if the person in question is a 5th generation american, and their family has been spilling their own blood in wars to protect America for years, the point is not quite as strong - actions speak louder than words. Though even there, at a certain point, if someone hates the country quite so much, why not just leave?

But in particular with people who they or their families have recently immigrated to the US, if they think it's not a country to be proud of, let them leave - and yes, they can go back to where they came from, if they think it's better. And if they accept that America IS better, then there needs to be STRONG recognition of that in word and deed, especially when involved in criticism.

Why is this racist?

The only problem is she kept saying that Trump said "originally from". Trump never said "originally from". When you need to make up blatant lies to try and defend a position no one is going to believe you. One is going to assume you agree with the statement.

oh, i agree that she lies. I just don't believe her comment was disrespectful to the reporter. Should she have asked someone where he's from? No, that's just poor optics. But i wouldn't call it racist in this context.

You need to ask yourself why would she lie about what he said if it wasn't racist? She tried to spin it into something that wasn't racist by making up stuff and failed. She knows it was racist and tried to spin it.
