Colin Powell, former secretary of state, National Security advisor and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff wrote: “the whole birther movement was racist. That’s what the 99% believe. When Trump couldn’t keep that up he said he also wanted to see if the certificate (Obama’s birth certificate) noted that he was a Muslim.” Powell went on to describe Donald Trump as “a national disgrace and international pariah.”

Why are you still wasting mental energy on this. The Ds are handing the next 4 years to Trump on a silver platter. Just accept it and move on.

What I have been trying to do is get what you want to use as a baseline. One day the polls are fake, next day they are used to prove a point, next day they are fake again. One day Bolton is a great guy, next day he is liar.

Exactly. Like one day Romney is a woman hating Nazi throwing grandmas in wheelchairs off the cliff and the next he's a hero proving that the Dems are right and Trump should be impeached.

Got a lot more to say (on both sides) but got too much going on in my life.

Just trying to get a baseline. Take the Muller report. Most were badmouthing it left and right before it was released. Then all of sudden they did 180. I said I would accept it and I did.

It didn't at all. Even if it is racist that does not mean that someone asking how it is racist is the same as someone asking that about violent racial attacks.

Making that equivalence normalizes the violence. It is statements like there which prevent real serious racism from being properly addressed.

I thought you were different than the group think, I was wrong. In no way shape or form was I saying they were equal based on violence. You assuming I was doing that instead of asking is what prevents serious discussion.
