Muni Meter Ticket trade board Master Thread <> For NYC Residents

I got a meter ticket and fought it and it was denied. This is what they said. This whole thing might be dead now.

Respondent testified that they had a meter receipt displayed and submits photograph of meter receipt on the dashboard of an unidentifiable vehicle. This is not persuasive. It is not persuasive that the cited vehicle had a valid meter receipt. Photograph does not show a vehicle identifiable as the cited vehicle. Summons sustained.

Interesting I had a similar thing happen but the next day I received another email that my ticket was dismissed it was really weird

Maybe that is the issue, as in כל המוסיף גורע, just send a copy of receipt without it being shown on any car or dashboard. Those things constantly slip out of place when door is opened or closed.

yea what I did was I took a pic of the car in front of me that had a good receipt.

You can do that! Just make sure only the receipt is seen and nothing else! Zoom in or move your phone on an angle just where the paper is located or just wait for the person to come out and get his reciept,
I never send the original to them, always make a photocopy of original and save it incase the say I had no reciept or bad evidence!

put every muni-meter receipts you buy in your windshield... and leave it there.
After you hit 1,000 meter receipts, cops won't bother giving you a ticket.

But then what does one do come Erev Pesach? Collect them in a bag and put with the Chometz to be sold, and then replace them in the car after Pesach?

Yes they will. And they will cite that as the reason. Seen it happen more than  once.
