Any word on good plan options with T-Mo? This might be the time to jump ship from Sprint.

wait wait wait!

not so fast - i have tmo

i dunno if i can write everything right now, but first of all search the forums, we've discussed before

if u live in a big city u wont have service ;)
that might be a joke, not sure

they said if i had a 3g phone i would have better service, not sure if thats true but they said to just try it. personally i dont anymore use the phones on my plan, so i haven't done that yet.

their customer service is not amazing either, but not horrible (once your a loyalty customer its better a bit)

the only thing i would say it to physically make sure theres service EVERYWHERE u want before signing up. dont check online, take a phone in your hand, and maybe do it more than once in case by mistake there was service. they do happen to have service in mikva meir though, i think their the only one, and thats about the only place in ch

i was offered a retentions plan last week, my contract is over in 3 weeks. i'll write about it tomorrow iy''h, i want some opinions as i dunno about this stuff

I got the google my touch and the bb 9780 for $18.00 ....even if you cancel your contract which costs $400.00 (2 lines) you have $1000.00 worth of phones...I think this is a great deal!

the plan i was offered by tmo retentions was:

3000 minutes
unlimited text/data

the base plan will be $110
each line will be $5 (x3)
each line's data charge will be $20 (x5)

the total will come out to $225 plus tax/fees, so  like $250
also they gave me a promotion already for no add a line fee, which lasts till next jan., so $235 till then

there are 3 issues:
1. they said $20 data a month/line is a discount, i see it on their site now
2. there site actually has a promo for $10 data a month/line
3. is 3k minutes enough for 5 lines?

I dunno, man- I loved T-mobile, they were so nice to me. I only left them because 3 years ago, Sprint was offering SERO and had already rolled out their EVDO network. T-mobile still had no plans for 3G anytime soon and their coverage had some holes where I live that Sprint didn't.

I think there's a reason JD Power and Consumer Reports awarded T-Mo the highest ratings for Customer Service for so long. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I don't think it justifies calling them Shmucks.

I honestly felt bad leaving them because their customer support was TOP NOTCH, and they were always so nice and understanding to me. Maybe that's changed, but I really felt like I was betraying a good friend when I left.

...their coverage had some holes where I live...
thats number 1

i spent an hour on the phone with them last night.
before i called i researched their offer i wrote above, as well as sprint's plans

I saw on their site
A. all their base plans start $20 above what i have ($100 3k minutes & text)
B. the plan they offered me is at $150 online, and $20 data for last 3 lines (i made a mistake before that it was on all 5) (same they offered me and told me was a discount)
C. they ran a promo last week all smartphones free

so i wanted to ask:
A. if they were to grandfather my $20 lower rate, the loyalty discount would be only $20
B. they claimed to offer a discount on data per line, so they should give me less than $20/month/line
C. they should at least match the online promo (although it ended) for the phone prices, not giving me only select phones for free as a loyalty customer
D. sprint will cost $15 more a month - half the minutes but free mobiles, night @ 7, has $125/line credit for porting AND free phones - maybe match SOMETHING

first person told me the other rep made a mistake, and my plan will also increase $20 a month like the new ones. Then i thnk he went back on it, wasnt sure. Also said the free lines till jan. will go away with the plan change.
basically it came out that my loyalty discount would be $20 a month, not $40. so i said i want a loyalty discount mister - sprint...
he said he would love to, but only another dept can, and he transfered me

the next lady gave me a different breakdown of the discount, which came out also to $20 less.
basically her thing was that A. loyalty discounts are on phones, not plans B. online promos and loyalty are seperate and they dont give a damn. but MAYBE they can match their own promos if i'm lucky

btw let me tell u how loyal i am:
i'm the better friend in this relationship. i bought so many phones from that company, renewed my contract so many times (within 6 months), and spend a crazy amount of money with them. besides that whenever i actually ended up using one of the lines i went over the minutes and made international calls direct

phew gotta catch my breath
