Topic Wiki

Here is my Excel template to keep track of all of my credit card stuff.

The first tab contains the instructions. I included some of my own entries as examples so you will know what to fill in where.

I put in almost everything possible I could think of. Only thing I'm missing that I didn't get around to adding is the spending bonuses by category (e.g. travel, gas, etc.).

Enjoy. If you have any suggestions, comments, or improvements, Please let me know, I'd love to fix it.

Update- when editing, DO NOT modify any of the tables in the Dashboards (except expected money and debts), ONLY modify data in the Credit Card master sheet and Bank master sheet. The Dashboards contain what is called Pivot Tables and they automatically update when you refresh the data.

I'm not sure how to include an attachment in a wiki, so the file can be downloaded from the first post in this thread.

Also will add a better way to keep track of when statements close and when payments are due.

Wow, Just poking around the template and I already learned some new stuff. Thanks

Note: Why the need for Application M&D and  today M&D columns?

If for only checking the upcoming year you can just put the formula in the next column itself

=IF(TEXT(TODAY(),"mm/dd")>=TEXT([@[Application Date]],"mm/dd"),YEAR(TODAY())+1,YEAR(TODAY()))

Change Upcoming AF column to

=DATE([@[Upcoming yr.]],MONTH([@[Application Date]]),DAY([@[Application Date]]))

And you should be able to delete the Application M&D and  today M&D columns.

After filling in data and trying to refresh I keep getting an error msg that one pivot table can not overlap another pivot table.

True, but the formula was getting so long that I was making mistakes in it i.e. forgetting parentheses etc, so i split it up to simplify it a bit

Try this: Highlight the pivot table and drag it down a bunch of cells.. should work

Here's mine, in case anyone's interested:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1o9_xViXU5wyTBZKtIdEaWLEtAFZ3i0xSvW8sAVvpAxg/edit?usp=docslist_api

It's pretty similar to others I've seen posted here. I looked around, found a bunch of different excel sheets, and different styles or systems for organizing, compared them all to each other and made one that works for me.

Wow my spreadsheet is almost identical to your Master CC sheet but I like all your extras.
On my spreadsheet I have a True/False column asking if I signed up for automatic payments. Gotta make sure each card is signed up!
