Lol btw my friend was convinced to get the freedom and"they'll make sure he's approved... and .... no go lol
:(

My first SP was in branch too. They told me that they could push it through even though I didn't have enough history b/c I had a certain amount in my savings account.

I think this has turned into a nostalgia thread. my first cc was a Wells Fargo college card. It was a student card that the guy filled in all the info. I have no clue what he put down. He told me he wrote I was in Rutgers instead of the "college" I was in bc in his experience they never approved from other college's but Rutgers always got accepted.

It might have been $5k, but I can't say for sure. Maybe $10k.

My first card was freedom without any credit history (AU ect). Chase takes personal history with they'll into account. The credit limit was a joke. I had a checking account with them for years (high school checking) and a custodial savings. (It could be that the fact that a high school checkings is technically a joint account with the guardian helped link our accounts, thereby helping with approval.) I think 22,500 UR points is a nice way to start for a first card.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.
