Personally I would app for the EDP at 30K and keep it. It's well worth the AF compared to the EVD.

I was only suggesting that as an option since he seems to want a card with no AF.

The EDP is definitely the better card, has a better bonus and is worth keeping open long term.

For example, $2,000 spend in supermarkets to hit spend threshold would net 9,000 points, valued at $135. The same spend would only get 4,400 points on the ED, or $65. That's a $70 difference right there, almost the cost of the AF.

I applied for Gold+Green, and the Rep told me that for multiple apps, there is a mandatory 3 day hold while the underwriting team look at it. (Both are "In Progress").

Not true. That applies to revolvers, not charge cards.

I called back, and the indian rep told me now that the problem was that the the apps were marked as "duplicates" in her system, from my previous applications in august . She cleared the duplicates and both were approved instantly, no questions at all.

They don't claw back the bonus points but they will claw back the base spending points IIRC.

Not for the bonus to post. I just had 75k MR points post to BGR a few days after completing the spend.
