US bank account for a non citizen.
« on: September 10, 2015, 05:21:09 AM »

I'm working for a US based company, from abroad. I'm not a US citizen. Is there way that I can open a us account, from abroad?

I do not know -- I do know u s banks are very strict  even in PERSON with a E U PASSPORT AN VISA they will most likely turn you down   -- i know of many people who can only open if they are on an account as joint with a person who has a social or tax ID  and file a WBEN 8
EVEN THIS WAY many will turn you down -- I believe bank America may be the easiest

Chase has a special dept that handles people without S.S.#

Since I assume where you work others are in same situation as you - why not ask them

at a minimum you would need a SSN or ITIN, and a US mailing address
