Not only do they shut you down but they blacklist you. I spent about 300k dollars last year  on my CC ( only 120k of that was funded via banks, the rest were purchases) so I get a lot of pre approvals from chase, nonetheless they wont approve me. Be wise and you'll make it long term, be stupid and you'll make it short term.

I want to open a new Chase bank account.
Could I fund it with an Amex card? Could it be an FR trigger?
If the answer is no and the next best option is Visa gift card. Can I buy the Visa GC with an Amex wothout it being an FR risk?
Also, can someone please direct me to a link where I can buy Visa GC's?

Thanks

I maxed out my $49K CO PP card a couple times in the past to fund a Citi Account.  Haven't done it recently though.

Was the $49k to bank accounts? & any reason why you haven't done it recently? Do you have a hunch or a suspicion based on recent events?

Not only do they shut you down but they blacklist you. Does Chase still approve you for cc's? So now who else won't give you cc's?

Visa gift cards, not specificaly Citi (better if not Citi).

I have a TD Bank account & I know they give gift cards for upto $750 & you can get as many as you want as long as you are a account holder.

It was the first search result for "funding" in the CC category...

I know Adirondack lets you fund with $1,000 as a purchase.  And they have an incredible 5% HSA.

What's "HSA"?

You can't fund them with a cc.

I'm blacklisted from Chas; I have no issues with Citi, who's accounts I was funding, or  any other banks.

Did you ever try funding a Chase bank account with CC also?

I funded a Chase bank account (min. opening deposit $25) with a Chase CC, then I called in the CC dept, they were happy to waive the CA fee for me.

Recently?  $25 is insignificant, no?

I wouldn't waste a fee waiver on that.

huh?

You did it for proof of concept? Why not just pay the $25 with cash/check/ACH?

Would you happen to know if this would count as a cash advance with an Amex card and a possible FR risk?
