So I bit and applied...got a decision pending, but this time with a request to call.

I called and was asked credit-worthiness questions (same as on application). The analyst asked me to hold...waited for 5 min. Then she said that she is recommending an approval (with a large CL), and will forward on for further review. Decision by mail in 1-2 weeks.

Never had that happen before. Any idea what that means?

+1 Have had similar pre-approvals/recommendations, forwarded and then finally approved.

Just logged on to my chase account and I see the BA account there. Chase may not be dead after all!

After being approved and having not received the card for a couple of weeks, I SM'd and asked for the card to be resent and for the annual fee to be waived. They agreed.

Just got this, after asking to be matched

What other cards are good to apply for together with this card (3BM) for someone who has no Chase cards?
Or is it not advisable to do 3BM for first Chase card?

Keep in mind that Chase business and personal cards have separate credit pulls.
