I cant remember where I read it, but I've been reading/hearing that people want/been able to use the situation in Israel as a reason to cancel flights. I just got off the phone with cheapOair. The (seemingly clueless) rep advised I pay for their insurance. I called the insurance company and they told me it wouldn't be covered(figured).
Has anyone had success with using the current situation in Israel has a reason to cancel and get a refund?
Also,this is from cheapoair's website:
Is there coverage for a terrorist incident?
Yes, the insurance plan includes coverage for a Terrorist Act occurring in your departure city or a city in your scheduled destination within 30 days of scheduled arrival. Please refer to the Description of Coverage for more details.
What constitutes a terrorist attack? unfortunately, they are practically occurring daily.
