Booking a ticket without a passport

Passport is being renewed. Booking site I used booked the ticket but then emailed me that without passport the ticket will be cancelled.

Nothing to do right?

The passport number should stay the same when you renew so just give them the old one

They were asking for expiration date too.

Also, we have a baby that has no number yet.

Give any #. That should hold the ticket.  I doubt they'll ever compare the 2 numbers down the line.  If they do, you'll have a valid passport in hand for both yourself and your baby.

Which site requires a passport? ASR?

I had such an issue as well,  I called in that website and a rep told me it's fine,  I entered by the passport number 00000000

I had with air serbia where I did 00000000 and they emailed asking for valid pp.

When viewing a confirmation online,  it shows Docs HK, seat request HK.....
