Big corporations like Amex don't make logical decisions. They take knee jerk actions to problems they see.
So you think the "problem" they saw was abuse ?
You will never know for sure. Once I seen those pictures last year it was pretty much the kiss of death. Reminded me of pickelhead and the Mint.
Those are such a minority compared to the pr & the national holiday its become.
I think you need to get away for your circle. Most people with Amex cards I would bet never even knowingly took advantage of SBS.
-1They had to register for the promo
Does Amex release figures on how many have Amex cards and how many took part in the promo?
They have some years. I recall 300K being the limit one year.
300k was max amount of cards?
Yes.
So figure there are 1000 DDFer's with average of 100 cards/AU's. There is a third right there. Now take in consideration FT and all the blogs and I can see why it was cancelled. Disclaimer: I have no idea why it was canceled but you think I am going to pass up this opportunity to have some fun?
Why did you have to put in the disclaimer, I wanted to see all the angry retorts.
I guess allowing individuals having 99 AU's in their name is a logical decision.
Remember that registration didn't fill up last year till mere hours before the spending deadline.
