That is re having hana'ah from the sukkah. Source that it's assur to demolish a sukkah on CH"M, please.
Still looking into this but it would seem that the Ta'z opinion here is that the whole issur is to be mevatel the mitzva! - it may be ossur mideorayso to take down a succah.ETA the dirshu brings down that R' Sholom Zalman says that one may take off the sechach, ( they bring a raya from the halacha that on the seventh day thay made the sechach possul). R N Karelizts says not to and R elyashiv says one can take down noi with daas to put back up.
If I lived in the NE, I would just take my sukkah down now. With all the storms coming up, better for it to be safely put away, there wont be much use for it anytime soon...
See Halichos Shlomo p. 123 and Sefer HaSukkah p. 449.
Didn't see those yet but r s Kamenetzke says not to take down a succah.
Who remembers Hurricane Gloria?
do i admit it?
Lol. I remember taking down the Sukkah before Sukkos even started. Then we never put it up till an hour or so before the zman. Come to think of it, I can't recall ever having the Sukkah up before day-of growing up. Except 85 I guess.
GFS and UKMET caved to ECMWF solution taking it OTS.
