Friend of mine was told last week by CSR that she can do it, he didn't have his card with him so said he'll call back, but prob. a case of DROPR.

Probably. They don't do it themselves they set it up in the system. I would imagine that the system is no longer in place.

IME You can transfer/combine the bank TY points with the cc TY points.

Did you go to the actual transfer page, b/c IME you can't. Like, I had 40k points but only 32k were "transferrable" when you actually go to the transfer page.

and those that do transfer are they safe from the 60 day expiration rule?

Just signed up for my CitiGold 50k AA. going to be traveling internationally and it will work for international ATM fees so it's decent time to do it for me. Hopefully I can complete in the minimum time.

acc to TY rep, you can combine to 1 TY account, but the bank points will still have 60 day expiration and the bank points cannot be transferred to airlines only the CC points, really confusing and annoying

I know they say they have 60 day expiration rule but I am wondering if in practice that really happens once they are combined. Would like to hear some data points from anybody on this

Opened up two accounts back in November, one for myself with TY points offer and one for a family member with the AA offer.

AA offer was easy and succesful, posted to my account within 1-2 months after meeting the requirements.

TY offer on the other hand I find myself going in circles with Citigold, Citicards and Thankyou. Citigold says they posted on January 20th, TY says never received it, and that the only points there are from earned points on credit cards. Nobody has a good answer to where they are, been like this the past two weeks. Anyone else have such issues?

do you just have 50k in your typ account that you don't know how you earned them?
(they show up as a CC bonus)

I just called to open up new account for aa bonus offer. And they told me I'm not eligible and wouldn't get the bonus since I wasn't targeted. Is this true or I should call again?

I think the offer is specifically for targeted people, but I do not believe it is enforced, so if you apply online, it should go through. DOC explains it all

I completed my tasks early February. For debit purchases, I did 2 separate $500 SERVE loads at RA. On Citi, one says "debit purchase" and the other is "debit PIN purchase". To be sure, I bought a $500 MO at WM. I don't know why the 2 Serve loads were coded differently but I assume both "debit purchase" and "debit PIN purchase" should count, right?

Citigold must need customers since they stopped allowing CC funding. They're now offering a $100 refer a friend bonus, but you have to enroll in person at a branch. Really?

I opened a Citigold account and signed up for the 50k AAdvantage deal in late December. I completed the requirements in early February and am waiting for the points to post, but my Citi AA annual fee posted two weeks ago. If I cancel my card now to avoid paying the $95 fee, will I risk forfeiting the 50k points, or am I safe as long as I keep the Citigold account open?
