I think his first shot hit but not fatally. After that, when the terrorist got up, it looks like he kept missing even though he was pretty close.  It's not as easy as it looks on TV.

i work with a victim of a terror attack a few days ago- he thank god was wounded mildly, but when he shot the terrorist in the neck 3 times (9mm)... she still lived and was released from the hospital.. Bullets are not instant death. If i had a gun, i would probably try to get a .45 over a 9mm. A little extra stopping power is worth it in these situations. There was a video that went out of the killing of the tractor terrorist on shmuel hanavie a few years back. They shot him multiple times, and he still kept moving...

This is correct. A well placed .22 will have more "stopping power" than a .357 that misses the target.

True, because anything is better than nothing, but a .22 has very limited power. A .357 is too powerful for a lot of people, a 9mm is a decent balance, I think. I haven't really fired a .45 much, so although it has more stopping power, I'm not sure what the recoil is like.

No one is saying to get every gun noob a desert eagle, but do you agree a 9mm is better suited for personal self defense in general than a .22? But I agree you don't need a big gun for self defense.

All else being equal, sure.  But for a person with a lower level of training and regular practice, a .22 may be better for self defense.

It all just depends on how good you are. I can shoot a .22 from 15 feet and get within a 8" target for the all the rounds in the gun. So chances are i can get a deadly head shot after 2 shots. But thats only in a calm situation. I dont know how well I do under pressure.

"Good" = Training and practice.  Lots and lots of practice.  Which is something most CCW holders, unfortunately, don't do.

I think a headshot would have a greater chance of missing and possibly hitting a bystander.
So best shot would probably be to go for the torso.

Exactly the point, unless you're special forces,  you're not planning on a headshot in a combat situation, you're going for center of the mass, in which case you generally need something bigger than a .22.

You want the stopping to happen with the first shot. I hope you were joking about the target. With a Steyr SSG at 100 yards I can do that with my eyes closed.
