Best way for upgrade on red eye: LAX to Charlotte (CLT)? AA on US Airways

Been a long, long time for me to have a company business trip.
Flying AA Operated by US Airways #696 from LAX to CLT.
Departing 10:40pm, arriving 06:29am.
Company paying for coach.
Any ideas for upgrade?

Cabin operated isn't the A321T, but simply A321, meaning it's the old 2 classes configuration with recliners first class. Not worth it IMO. Try to get a bulkhead and you'll be fine.
