Click on "DansDeals Forum" in the blue bar.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I had the same issue. But clicking the link that Dan suggested resolved it - for all of the links.

Can't remember where it is, but I think someone once asked about how to mark specific threads as read as opposed to the "MARK ALL MESSAGES AS READ" button.

  • Go here
  • Change "Show quick-moderation as" to "checkboxes"

that was me. thanks!
so how about then is there any way to ignore certain threads so that they won't show up when you click on "show unread posts" ?

or at least to be able to mark specific threads as "read" from that page instead of the option of marking all messages as read?

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

there r times where both come in 1 box shaded 2 different colors (meaning a box in a box). how is that done. if that is just quoting them together it would be simpler, i assume

Qoute the second post. Then click your mouse inside that quote and quote the first post. Alternatively, quote both posts and cut the first post and paste inside the second post. Same idea.

I'm not sure what this means but this is from Stefan from Opera-
"You should also know that the web server isn't configured properly. The AAAA DNS record is returned
2600:3c03::f03c:91ff:fe93:5a5e
but the webserver is unreachable under this address. This should be fixed on the web server side."
Just fixed this issue, but I did have to restart the web server a couple times. Just an FYI in case anyone had some intermittent problems accessing the site for the past hour or so...

Not sure where the best place to post this is. I initially posted it in the Video threads but it was suggested that I take it here-

Can we come up with a good way to comment on a previous photo or video without quoting it and effectively reshowing the pic/video all over again?

It's what everyone here does for lack of a better option, but I ( and I'm sure others) find it annoying and it makes a thread more drawn out.....
Two options I can think of for videos are:
1) Remove the youtube brackets from the quote to show just the url
Ex.
&feature=player_embedded
(problem is then no one knows which video you're referring to unless they click on it or match it up by name and time)

2) Copy the title of the video on youtube and paste that into the quote in place of the original text.
Ex.
World's Shortest Man

Any Ideas for pics??

Any thoughts??

i was thinking to just quote the person without any pic in it (if theres text then leave it) and when someone wants to see what pic hes referring to then u just click on the quote and it takes you to that post.
