Issues with Matrix ?

I was looking for tickets from NYC-TLV on SEP 24-OCT 7 on ITA Matrix. I found the rate for the flights I wanted for about $1500 each (3 tickets)

Cost per Adult (including taxes & fees): $1,544.36 x2 (2 adults)
Cost per Child (including taxes & fees): $1,459.36 x1 (1 child)
Total cost for 3 passengers: $4,548.08

However when I go to Elal, Orbitz or Expedia the price is $2500+ for the same tickets. Any idea why this is happening? Is it possible to actually get these tickets at the ITA price?

Flight details:

Newark (EWR) to Tel Aviv (TLV) — Thu, Sep 24;
El Al 28
Dep: 1:30 pm
Arr: 7:00 am
Economy (O)

Tel Aviv (TLV) to New York (JFK) — Wed, Oct 7
El Al 1
Dep: 12:45 am
Arr: 5:50 am
Economy (O)

There's nothing like it, but ita sucks. So often it errors, times out, or completely overlooks the best options. It's the best we've got, though.

Yeah but it was always manageable. In the last couple of days it went completely haywire with errors on 1 out of every 4 searches!

side note, anyone notice AA flights pricing WAY better through AS than AA past couple days?

Yup, the app is pretty consistent.

It's pretty good, you're just extremely limited what you can search.
