Parking during cruise
« on: February 16, 2011, 10:57:34 PM »
Any advice on a good (and safe) place to park a car during a 10 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale?

The best I have found is the Park n Fly for $12 per day plus tax less a 15% AAA discount. Staying at W Fort Lauderdale prior to the cruise, but AFAIK they don't offer long term parking.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

How far away is it from fll airport? Maybe there is a free shuttle from the airport. Airport has parking for 7:50 a day..

About 4 miles. That's a good rate. Just found a site (www.unitedairportparking.com) that offers parking for $8/day at the nearby Embassy Suites and Renaissance Hotels as well as a free shuttle. Looks like the best bet.

Find a hotel with free parking and a shuttle and stay there for the night before the cruise.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Take out a small loan in the bank & offer your car as collateral.
They will park it in a safe place for you & the whole thingy shouldn't cost you more than $5

That's an old joke (literally).. I would love to see it actually be done though.
