The prices seem to be the same, but not reflecting the $400 savings. I checked PHL-FCO and got the same price with and without the AARP discount.

I've been doing my searches pre-AARP/Avios discounts and saw them at around $2000, rather than the $1500 they were at before

BA rep said that you can't combine AARP and points discount. Wouldn't try and book it for me. Also said something about it not working on AA metal flights.

Does anyone understand the points discount, when it is offered, and discount options appear? I've never seen such a generous valuation before w/ BA.

It only appears on Select cities like LA, NYC, DFW, PHL and Chicago. No dice for smaller cities

Find the flight on aa.com (assuming it is AA metal), use that flight number when searching under My Trips.
