NH is amazing and a real bargain. Comfortable mattress, private, amazing scotch/sake, incredible service, Hermolis meals, the real deal.
Had a great time in Japan (only been to Kyoto) and would look forward to return on NH and see Tokyo etc. Best way to try NH would be through VS - especially when there is a transfer bonus - though it would need to be booked as RT. Takes away the fun of trying another carrier.

Service was genuine and warm Indonesian hospitality. All 4 FA's taking care of J were excellent. They would never talk to you while standing, instead always kneeling down so they can be at eye level. They knew exactly how often to come and when not to disturb.
If you are walking towards the lav, they welcome you in and hold the curtain/door for you.
They took pride in prepping meals and were concerned when I was not eating the shelf stable Stogel food. Made sure to constantly offer fruits/snacks and drinks.
The seats were reverse herringbone and comfortable for sitting, not so much for sleeping, as the tray table sits in a constant "over-bed" position, only a little space over. For sleeping on back it's ok, though you cannot turn or get comfortable on a side.
Entertainment was decent too. They had a really good soundtrack for boarding and landing (was ringing in my head the rest of the day) though I cannot find a link to it online.
The service is what stood out the most.
