If the hold is from the customer protection dept, you can only wait, 24-72 business hours. (My agent in the store said that it's better to wait 72 scince accessing the account in store before the hold lifts will reset the clock.)

Last week thursday After getting 2 in the store I went online to get 2 more. I got tagged for fraud. I called and was told to send in a copy of a utility bill and social security and drivers license. And i was told that it takes about 15 minutes to clear. I called back last night to check the status of this order and i was told that since 3 days have passed from the date I submitted the proof and they have not approve it ( not my fault) they have to cancel the order and I can start all over again. If I would have called before to push it through that I would not have this issue

So the answer to your question. Don't wait around be proactive and call them to find out the status

they told me I can't add lines till there is a history in billing, usage,
3-6 months,
I asked, if I close the account than reopen what will happen, she didn't want to answer that question,
I told her it's not worth holding the account if I can't add lines..
So she said try..
But if I try and close the account, and then there is still a restriction, how will it get lifted if I don't have any history?
She couldn't answer that question

just got off the phone with rebate cs. rep said even if u cut service it shouldnt affect the rebate.

unless you return the device to verizon (not sure who would do that) , that would cancel your rebate.

It needs to be a new line, you can immediately open another line
