Try and see what happens.
Worst case , apply it to your account and port out the number so it will force them to bill you for the device and they will collect from your bill that has a credit

I did in store trade in and left $150 on dpp. I ported out the numbers and I am still waiting for the next bill to close to see what happens.

So I did two sets of trade ins, the first was in store where he left about $200 total of unpaid DPP (the rest went towards iphone+lg's) and a little credit (~$120 I think).

I then traded in 5 more phones which netted me ~$1500 credit but it was applied to my account immediately, they didn't even offer me the option of a gift card.

As soon as the credit posted for each phone I ported out the number using ring.to.

The last port out happened before my bill closed for november so on my november bill they charged the full cost of each phone all at once, coming out to about $500 after all unpaid amounts and service charges (I mostly had my all lines suspended to avoid paying for service). I then called 'em and asked if they could send me the credit as a vzw gift card (I would either give it as a gift to a friend or just walk into a store and try to buy another iphone or two ) they said they couldn't do that but offered to send me a check !! so the ($1000) check is now on its way

Can anybody from nyc/brookyn tell me what your taxes and fees were and are they per line meaning if you are on the small 30 dollar plan and 20 dollar access fee do you get charged the same taxes and fees on every additional line or does the first line get charged based on 50 dollars and the additional lines only on 20 ?
