CO Open Jaw rule.
« on: February 18, 2011, 01:39:43 PM »
Kind of need to know ASAP so if someone knows has experience please post.

CO officially let a stopover and a open jaw on a reward ticket.

Is the open jaw allowed to be with the stopover? E.g. JFK-FRA-TLV (destination) TLV-ZRH (stopover) (open jaw) LHR-JFK?

CO agent says it doesn't work but I think it should...

Should be allowed, but it's very hard to find a rep to manually price.
They have to agree that's valid and then call the rate department to manually price it.
CO ESD may be the best bet, but YMMV as reps there are either horrible or awesome.

I was recently able to get an ESD rep to manually price this EWR-HNL-LIH (destination) (open jaw) OGG-LAX-LAS (stopover) LAS-EWR.

Thats having the open jaw at the destination.

I'm looking to return from the same destination and do the open jaw with the stopover.

In the above case scenario, e.g. EWR-HNL-LIH (destination) LIH-LAX (stopover) (open jaw) LAS-EWR.

Would that also be a possibility?

What's ESD?

Yes, it should be allowed, but you'll still need to find a rep to manually price which will be difficult.

Spoke to multiple supervisors and they all said that although a stopover and open jaw is allowed, the open jaw must be at either the origin or destination...

Try starting a thread on FT or PM'ing Scott over there and see what they have to say.

Since they didn't let the open jaw, just had to book a regular connection.
The thing is the flight connects in the city I wanted to open jaw, wanted HAJ (open jaw) FRA-JFK. Now its HAJ-FRA-JFK
If I just didn't take the HAJ-FRA flight would they cancel the FRA-JFK flight?
It's flying LH using CO miles and the flights are within a couple hours of each other...
