Update: No option to waive fee (because last year was waived). They offered option to downgrade to Sapphire (non preferred) or Freedom. I chose Freedom. Thanks for your help.

My annual fee came up for the United umpe.
Thing is,  i have it connected to my serve/softcard so I'm getting  $1500 a month charged on it.
Worth it to keep open?
Also does it waive close in booking fee?

Were they always offering the downgrade, or just on the last call ?

I don't understand your question; there was only one call.

Now that we took care of the CSPs, our BA cards got the fees. They would not waive them. Is it worth keeping? For DW too? Downgrade? To what? Would they allow a 3rd Freedom (for each of us)? Thanks!

why pay for AF when you can reapply and get a bonus without paying AF IMO the only cards worth keeping is a card that give you an anniversary bonus like a free night

But you can get the bonus again for those cards too. I.e. Hyatt card. 2 Sign Up nights > 1 Anniv. Night
