I purchased insurance from them for $26 for an award ticket  - anyone have experience in making a claim from them? Seems to have decent reviews online.

Did you read the list of reasons you can collect with? You cannot just collect if you decide not to go.

They one of the big ones. They are a direct competitor with travel Guard who I work with, but they are good.

I didn't say Allianz allows it. Last time I used a travel insurance aggregator site I found on Google. I don't know how reliable they are though...
