I always use them for domestic AA business class tickets. But only for transcon flights such as LAX-JFK. Taxes are $5.00 and cancellation fees are $50. Works for me.

Yes , far from being free tickets -however I did get  2 first class tickets that cost $12,500 each for 195K BA miles and $756 each .
That is a much better use for me then 4 domestic AA tickets for free.

I also find the availability on the BA website for booking AA tickets pretty poor.

If BA ran a similar promotion again I am not sure  I would participate.

I think Hawaii and South America are the best bets for BA miles.

I know  this question has been asked everywhere we discussed the BA deal, but what is the best and cheapest way to use the BA miles with the companion voucher for Israel?

I see BA online has much less availability on AA to Kauai (or anywhere)then AA itself. If I see available on AA site, will BA give it to me on the phone?
