AA bonus points

So I am expecting my wife to receive 50K bonus points when next month statement prints for 2 new cards she signed up for.

The question is will it cause a problem if I call Citi and switch the AA FF# associated with the accounts to my AA FF#.

When Citi transfers the bonus miles to AA to credit to my FF account, will it get rejected because the names don't match?

I was going to try it with the Delta skymiles card, i wanted to link my wife's card with my delta account. i called Amex and they said that it is on Delta's end and if the name on the card and the delta account dont match they might not credit the points
