ebay gift cards
« on: October 13, 2015, 02:56:26 PM »
i see Dan often posting 5% off eBay gift cards, i wanted to point out, that you can ALWAYS get 5% off by buying through target with a redcard (http://www.target.com/s?searchTerm=ebay&category=0%7CAll%7Cmatchallpartial%7Call+categories&lnk=snav_sbox_ebay, i've never paid for eBay with anything but discounted gift cards, if you don't have the prepaid one you can get the regular onehttp://www.target.com/redcard/main#?lnk=gnav_redcard , it usually start with $300 worth of credit,

enjoy!

( tell me if this was intentionally overlooked and if yes why...)

Good to know.
But this may not be so attractive anymore pending the Redcard debit card loading status (see other thread).

when you buy through ebay and you use a chase ink then you get 5 points per dollar (worth more then 5% off) on top of any discount!

According to this recent post http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/76671

you can buy Ebay gift cards with Ebay gift cards. Does this mean, I can just keep buying gift cards with other gift cards previously bought at a discount and actually make money? Is there some sort of stop to this?

For example, can I buy a $100 gift card for $95, and then buy another $100 priced at $95 with the gift card, and so on, until I have 100s of dollars in credit? (i.e. $200 total after 20 rounds)?

Please let me know so I don't waste my time trying.

Is that not EXACTLY what Dan wrote on DDMS?
"1. You can use eBay gift cards that you already bought at a discount to buy discounted eBay gift cards."
Could it have been any clearer?  Who's wasting who's time?
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Yes, you can. It should take 30 seconds to try, not sure what the huge waste of time is.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

So? When it doesn't work, you know you hit the max.

When you buy these eBay gc's at a 5 percent discount and use your chase ink which gives you 5 points per dollar...so that another 475 points and if you value it at 1.5 cents then that $7.12 which essentially you're getting an $100 eBay Gc for $87.88!!

Why does Ink get 5% on eBay?
no one knows but it works...which makes that even Gc's that are not discounted I sometimes buy it from eBay via PayPal digital gifts so I get 5 points per dollar which is 7 percent off(plus 2 percent back eBay bucks)
